DSE delegation visits Bombay Stock Exchange to get experience on book building system and derivative market A 25 member delegation led by Senior Vice President of Dhaka Stock Exchange DSE Mr Ahmad Rashid Lali visited Bombay Stock Exchange from October 3 to 7 of 2006 to see the practice prevailed there in respect of book building system and derivative market The team visited the BSE to get a first hand experience on the proposed book building system a modern method for distribution of initial public offerings IPOs practiced by all developed stock markets in the world The team includes four DSE Directors two DSE Members including a former DSE President DSE CEO representatives of SEC Chittagong Stock Exchange Standard Chartered Bank Citi Bank NA IDLC AAA Consultants Prime Bank AB Bank Prime Finance and Green Delta Insurance Standard Chartered Bank and Citi Bank NA arranged a two day workshop in Bombay on rules regulations and different aspects of book building system The experience gathered from the visit by the honourable delegation members will be utilized in introducing book building system and derivative market in Bangladesh DSE Senior Vice President Mr Ahmad Rashid Lali former President Mr Ahmed Iqbal Hasan Directors Mr Khawja Ghulum Rasul Mr A S Shahudul Huque Bulbul and Mr Sharif Ataur Rahman Members Mr Rafiqul Islam Mr Hanif Bhuiyan and Chief Executive Officer Mr Salahuddin Ahmed Khan for photo session as members of a 25 member delegation which visited Bombay Stock Exchange from October 3 to 7 of 2006 to see the practice prevailed there in respect of book building system and derivative market
